In Western Massachusetts, we don’t go inside when it gets cold. We just bundle up so we can stay out longer.
Winter brings a whole new list of things to do in Western Massachusetts, so pull on your mittens and come play in the snow with us. Cross country ski and snowshoe on snowed-over bike paths and groomed trails, or bushwhack your own path. Sled down a hill that’ll put your heart in your throat. Ice skate across a frozen pond, or ice fish on that same pond. If downhill skiing and snowboarding is more your style, Hampshire County makes a great home base for your ski trip a little further north.
Winter sports are also the perfect excuse to cozy up to a mug of hot chocolate, or enjoy a hot toddy or mulled cider. Because we all know that après-ski is really the best part of skiing.
