Hampshire County is legendary for country living, and it doesn’t get more down to earth than camping out. It’s the perfect way to commune with nature – you can spot wildlife, hit the trails, go fishing, and even squeeze in some swimming. Wrap it up with dinner on the grill and ghost stories around the campfire. (Skip this last step if you want your kids to sleep at all.)
Try stand up paddleboarding or kayaking at the DAR State Forest, and then climb the fire tower for great views of Western Massachusetts. Play horseshoes while your kids horse around on the playground at Peppermint Park Camping Resort. Book a deluxe cabin or cruise in with your camper at Windy Acres in Westhampton.
