Generally speaking, we think our general stores are well worth a visit.
Folks in Hampshire County know that one of the perks of country living is stopping by the general store for a treat. These local shops combine the best that Western Massachusetts has to offer – gourmet food, artisanal pieces, unique gifts, and nice people.
At the Huntington Country Store, nibble on the legendary Wrapple pastry while you browse wind chimes and handmade figurines. Buy seasonal gifts and eat an ice cream cone at the Williamsburg General Store, and stock up on homemade bread and jams while you’re there. Pick up fresh groceries and some pottery from local artists at Cummington’s Old Creamery – and then wander upstairs to visit their sustainability library!
